Let's look at these places for topics
- Overview of the 2007-8 topic: http://www.debate-central.org/research/overview-of-the-2007-2008-cx-topic#_ftn2
- Conservapedia: Though this appears to be like Wikipedia [not especially a good thing for serious researchers], it might help us some. We are looking for ideas, not definitive answers
- Topics from the debate site for Sante Fe Community College's Dept. of Humanities and Foreign Languages
- High School Debate Topics: This is out of the University of Michigan. I think it is the list of topics that people are talking about when they talk about the "2007-8 debate topic" or "2007-8 national debate topic." It has them for past years, too, and since we've not done them, just more things for us to think about.
- Documents: from the Univ. of Michigan site above. Take a look!! It appears to me to have done lots of the research for you. That is a help in that we can assume these are pretty reliable sources. We still have to decide what helps with what points we're trying to make, etc.
- Moots [these are debate topics]: look at these lists!!
These are just general links that may or may not help us out.
- Debate Central: this seems to have lots of info that will help us
- Idea: I'm not sure whether this will help us without cost or not, but it looks promising
- A great place for quotes that you may want to include in your debates
- A great source of articles on public speaking. Pay particular attention to [pretty far down on the page] the section on performance techniques.
