ink for your own computer if you have one at home

post it notes, several packages of the very small ones. You MAY want a package or two of the next smallest size. We will use these as a kind of journal and they will save you lots of time.

Dividers for your regular notebook and a set for your portfolio. The portfolio dividers must be very professional. You may want to go ahead or you might prefer to wait. You must be able to put titles of divisions on the portfolio dividers.

You will NOT need a separate notebook for portfolios. We will have them professionally bound. You will not need any stickers or page protectors, etc.

3 floppy disks [or whatever method you plan to use to back up: cds, dvds, jump drive, whatever] and an attitude to find out for sure where you can print your work out at school

An attitude of following instructions such as learning [from me] how to attach files and e-mail files that I can read

4 9 x 12 envelopes - you may buy these or you may just save them up. They need not be new--just so they will hold material and have space for your name, etc.

Obviously, you'll need pens, paper, a notebook, etc.
