Below are a couple of links that list sample project ideas. One has research ideas to go with it, and the other does not. Be aware that in Pitt County our papers are argumentative [meaning you choose a thesis that requires proof; you are trying to prove something.] You may NOT do a biography or a "history of . . . " paper for your reseach.

I could go on and on, but you can type "senior project topics" into Google as easily as I can. The samples are endeless.
Consent Form
Mentor Agreement - filled out very early before any credit starts for your project
Project Verification/Mentor Verification [called either/or] - There are directions with the form about the mentor's mailing it. If the mentor does mail it, be very cautious, checking to be sure it is received in plenty of time. If your teacher does not get it [ask her], you will have to check with the mentor. If time is getting short, ask the mentor to let you return and pick it up and take it to school. If this gets to your teacher late, your project is simply that late.
Be sure to go ahead and give the verification form to your mentor when you finish your hours, especially if you finish them early. We have had problems when the project was finished and then months later the student took this form to the mentor. Think about yourself: people forget what has gone on over a period of months.
Thank you note tips and example: You should send your mentor a thank you note. Show it to your teacher before you send it/give it. It should be written with NO ERRORS and will have to be corrected if you make errors. Some teachers require a copy for your portfolio.
Board shots of thank you note directions for format: one two three
Project self evaluation - turned in when project is due [As directed in class, you should select this and copy it, then put it into your word processor so you can type your answers in the space or give yourself space for the answers. You should NOT have all the questions and then all answers; rather, question, answer, question, answer, etc. Then go back and format the page so it will look nice in your portfolio because after it is used to grade your project, the portfolio is where it will go.
Project evaluation rubric - Note that the starred items MUST be turned in all together in an envelope [follow teacher directions] on the project deadline. No partial turn-in. It's all there, or you are not ready on time.
Please note that you MUST have visual documentation of completing the project. You will need a video or still pictures, etc. [You must have stills for the portfolio.] You should show your progress if at all posible. Your mentor should be in some of the pictures. Faked pictures are pretty clear to anyone looking at them. Do not wait until the last minute to complete this. If "Target loses your pictures," they are just not there. There is nothing the teacher can do about that. Your teacher absolutely cannot be put in the position of believing someone or not believing them about the store losing pictures or being late. Get these developed ahead of time so if you have a problem you can redo them. Project mentor log for time with your mentor Project independent log for time without the mentor - These times do not count into your 15 hours, but it can only help your grade to log any practice time, etc. that you spend on your project.
Audience verification form - an optional form that not many students will use. If you do present some place away from school, however, the form can only help your grade, I would think.
Project speech rubric - You will give a speech around the time projects are due [Each teacher will explain the sign up/assignment process.].It will describe all that you did in completing your project. This is one-half of your Boards speech. After this speech, you just have to add your research stuff to it [You can see it marked out on this rubric. The first rubric is for Boards; the second is for THIS speech.] and then you're good for Boards. Obviously this project speech is practice for Boards. Your teacher will also use what you say to help her grade your project. He/She will give you tips and pointers to help you improve your next speech.
Preliminary speech verification: Follow your own teacher's instructions about this.
