Mrs. Foster will come out to school on these dates. Be sure to double check here at the last minute or call Mrs. Arp at school My parents are in ill health and I always have to be prepared to change my plans quickly. I will do my best to be there at these times:
Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 11 a.m.
Monday, August 4, 2008 at 11 a.m.
Realize that I will be there at or about 11 a.m. I will be near the main office or they will know where I am. I will not be there earlier, nor will I be there long. If I am alone, I may wait 15 minutes. Do not expect to show up later in the afternoon and find me there. I will see students on a first come first served basis and will certainly do my best to see everyone who is there. Make it your business to be there on this date. Those who e-mail me on July 3 telling me that they just couldn't come will wait until Aug. 4.
Parents had a meeting back in February or March. You will not receive more information until the student's English class begins. Feel free to look around the web site. Probably the most important thing for parents to know is that Senior Project, or Graduation Project as we will begin to call it, is a senior activity, not a parent activity. We will be happy to help parents understand it, but be aware that these students are about to go out into the world. They will absolutely recieve all the information they need to be successful. They must use their coping skills and keep up with things they need and their deadlines. All information will go out to the students through their English teacher. No matter what kind of special problem your child has, he is just about grown. Next year he will either be in college, working at a job, or be in the military unless you plan to continue to support him/her forever. Encourage your student to act like the senior he is.
